PUMPKIN GLAZED DONUTS WITH CRUMB TOPPING

Please See Other Recipes

Pumpkin Glazed Donuts are baked in the oven using a donut pan that you can easily find online or in most kitchen appliance retail shops.

A few years ago Dunkin Donuts came out with an amazing donut to their fall menu.  Pumpkin Glazed Donuts soon became my favorite treat to enjoy!

I decided to try making my own version of these AMAZING pumpkin donuts using the recipe for my Pumpkin Muffins I shared with you a few years ago.

The donut pan that I used was the one I used for the chocolate donuts I made for Olivia’s birthday a few years ago.  I like using this pan because the donuts are so baked and not fried.

Donuts cooling off before adding the glaze. Don’t they look amazing? I love the crumb topping!

Ingredients

  • For the Donuts
  • 1 box spice cake mix
  • 3/4 cup canned pumpkin puree; NOT pumpkin pie filling
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • For the Crumb Topping
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp oatmeal
  • For the Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine the crumb topping ingredients in a bowl and using a pastry cutter, or two knives cut the butter into the mixture until you have crumbs; set aside.
